Contractors, are you interested in obtaining your ACI Flatwork Finisher/Technician or an NRMCA Certified Pervious Concrete Contractor (Craftsman, Installer or Technician) certification?

The CRMCA offers certification courses throughout the Carolinas. Please look to the right upcoming certification course offerings. If you have over 10 people that you wish to get certified, we may be able to arrange a course for your company at your location. Please contact the CRMCA to inquire further about this option.

 

Certification Requirements:

  • ACI Flatwork Technician certification will be granted to those examinees who obtain a passing grade (70% or higher) on the written exam.
  • ACI Flatwork Finisher certification will be granted to those who obtain a passing grade on the written exam and EITHER a) possess one year (1500 hours) of approved work experience and successfully complete the ACI performance exam, OR b) posses 3 years (4500 hours) of approved work experience and successfully complete the Alternative Performance Affidavit (Form D16).
  • NRMCA Pervious Concrete Technician certification will be granted to those examinees who obtain a passing grade (75% or higher) on the written exam.
  • NRMCA Pervious Concrete Installer certification will be granted to those who meet the above requirements plus a) hold certification as an ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician, b) have successfully demonstrated the installation of pervious concrete and c) have documentation of at least 3 projects of pervious concrete totaling a minimum of 10,000 sf.
  • NRMCA Pervious Concrete Craftsman certification will be granted to those who a) successfully complete the written exam, b) hold certification as an ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician and c) EITHER 1) have successfully demonstrated the installation of pervious concrete and have documentation of a minimum of 1500 hours of work experience with pervious concrete, OR 2) have documentation of a minimum of 3000 hours of work experience with pervious concrete.
